The Barbarroja Barranca 1st of November 2012.

Terrified walkers emerging after a frightening three mile crawl through rat and snake infested darkness………
just kiddin!  Another successful stroll and a hole in one.
Actually it was a short cut – we sent the kids in first (of course) and the big tunnel (no rats, no snakes) saved us a bit of a scramble to the next almond field.
This was a ‘easy’ ramble mostly along the dry river bed of the Chicamo. About 8 kilometers and took about two and a half hours.
Long enough to work up a contented feeling of achievement and a well deserved appetite for our lunch at the Social Bar at Barbarroja.
Sonia and German produced a really good spread. There was plenty wine and beer, plates of ham, cheese and salad followed by one of Germans special paellas with pastry and coffee to follow. And all for € 8 !
See it’s all about food………..

Phil Woolford reports; 29 people walked and 17 enjoyed an excellent Menu del dia and for only €8.00!
