The last walk in October is on the 30th and starts from the car park of the Casas Galiana Restaurant at the usual time of 10.00. This is a more challenging walk and is not for beginners or those who are not mountain fit. The reasons being that for about half of its length it is a cross country route over the hills behind Hondon de los Frailes; this means no tracks at all, just pick your way through, over or around rocks and vegetation. Also the descent off the hill is quite steep and until we get to the bottom is still a cross country route with no tracks to follow. Having said that the walk is not technically difficult, just more tiring than usual and requiring a high degree of concentration on the descent.
Distance: 9.2Km Max Height: 697m Height Gain: 378m.
Jeannie will be your walk leader, but as she will not be available much between now and then please use me as the contact for queries. email@example.com I will arrange lunch at Casas Galiana Restaurant after the walk, so please let me know by the 28th if you would like lunch so that I may forewarn the restaurant.
