TtHE NEXT WALK IS ON Friday 21st March. This will be the Two Parks Walk, which will start at the Parque Montaña car park above Albatera. This is a moderate walk involving a couple of quite steep, rough, ascents and descents of about 100m and is about 8Km long. The tracks are variable but mostly good and the height gain overall is 270m. This walk is suitable for most people in the group as long as you can manage the ascents and descents as we cross two valleys. I do recommend boots, but they don’t need to be waterproof unless it rains! 🙂
We will meet at the Parque Montaña to set off at 10,00; to get there from Hondón de los Frailes, go down the CV873 Albatera road to the canalised river and turn left, towards Crevillente, on the narrow road that runs alongside or on top of the river. Turn left over Bridge Number 16, the numbers have been recently painted, and follow the road up to the car park just outside the Parque.
I am not planning a lunch after this walk; however, I will probably go to Veinte Ocho for a snack and if you wish to join me you will be most welcome.
