Firstly my apologies about the late notification of the first April walk, entirely my fault as Alan gave me the information in plenty of time!
Anyway, here are the walks for April and May and I attach the usual more detailed walk descriptions for the following 5 walks.
April 8th – Sierra de La Pila Murcia. A more challenging walk on mountain tracks for those with good mountain fitness albeit with no technical difficulties. This walk will be led by Alan and for those who don’t know the way to La Garapacha there will be a convoy leaving the Fogón car park at 09.00.
April 15th – Algyat Circular Walk. A Moderate walk on mostly good tracks and unmade roads, although there are a couple of kilometres on tarmacked roads. This walk will be led by Philip.
May 6th – Orito. An easy end of the Moderate range of walks, albeit with quite a bit of road work and some short steepish ascents and descents. This walk will be led by Alan.
May 13th – Jaime Barbudo Walk. A walk from Hondón de los Frailes with options! The main walk is borderline Easy Moderate, but the optional visit to Jaime Barbudo’s cave is more challenging. This walk will be led by Alan.
CANCELLED May 20th – Río Chícamo Walk. This walk is Moderate with a couple of challenges; a steepish climb and descent and some river wading. There is a great likelihood of getting your feet wet so please note the more detailed explanation in the walk description document. This walk will be led by Philip.
So that just leaves the walks for June to sort out. I have something in mind, but if anyone has a new walk or an old favourite do let me know.
